This event benefits the American Association of Cancer Research. The AACR donates 92 cents of every dollar received towards research for a cure for over 200 types of cancer. Not only do they provide grants for research, they also share research through publications and offer training for future cancer scientists. They were chosen because money donated to them actually goes towards cancer research rather than overhead costs and employee salaries.
